ORF Clones: Clone Information |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Shipping and Storage InformationDNAFORM provides ORF Clones in two formats: For ORF clones ordered as "Plasmid DNA", DNAFORM ships 50ng purified plasmid DNA. The lyophilized DNA is stable at room temperature. After dissolving the DNA in TE buffer or alike, the DNA solution should be stored at -20°C. For ORF clones ordered as "Slant tube", DNAFORM ships living bacteria on agar. Upon arrival, the culture should be stored at 4°C. Note a bacterial culture cannot be stored for an extended period of time. Therefore we advise you to plate the bacteria on a LB agar plate with the appropriate antibiotic as soon as possible and to grow a new culture. It is preferable to select some individual clones and to check their inserts before using the clone(s) for further studies. NOTE, ORF clones are provided on different vectors and do require different selection media with different anibiotics Reger to the datasheet for more information on which amibibiotic to use for your ORF clones.
